CHAPTER VI

The inside of the Deku tree was very dark.  Darker then the last time he had been in it.  Gnarled roots were popping up everywhere.  The ground was made of rich soil.  No sooner did they get in they heard a voice.  It was a Kokiri calling from the far corner.  He was very scared.  His up keep was not very good.  It looked as if he had been trapped in there for week.  The Kokiri waved Link over to him.  He said, Link, you must find a key.  There are eight of us trapped in here.  I believe there is a key in a treasure chest, in the center of the room.  All you have to do to obtain it is kill that Lizalfos behind you.

Link turned around as soon as he said that.  The Lizalfos jumped at him.  He dodged its attack.  It was a fierce battle.  Link all beat up walked slowly toward the treasure chest that had materialized out of nowhere.  He opened it up, and there was a key inside.  He ran over to the Kokiris prison cell and opened the gate.

The Kokiri said in great joy, Thank You Link!  There are seven more of us.  Here is the temple map.

A door suddenly opened behind them.  There was a bright light.  They crept slowly toward it.  The light seemed to be blinking.  It was spherical, yet it had tons of nooks and crannies on it.  It was the Deku Trees brain.  Although, oddly there were black things surrounding it they were pokulas (pok-u-luhs).  They attacked Link, once Link had killed one, it would become a non-organized group of black dots.  Once they were all destroyed, they regrouped into this huge, floating, black cloud.  It started to attack the brain.  Link couldnt let it destroy it.  Since it was a cloud the sword would go right through it.  He spotted five wire like objects coming from it, attached to the walls like a suction cup, That must be where that monster is getting all its power from said Link.  He destroyed all five of the wires and it disappeared.  Link received the Fairy bow.  He also received a key; it was a key to the next room.

He slowly entered the next room, as he crept towards the center of the room three Lizalfos jumped at him.  It was tough battle, the Lizalfos scratched Links arm.  That really enraged him; he took his sword and killed all three of them with a sword spin, and arrow through each one of them.  He heard another voice calling him it was another Kokiri.  The Kokiri pointed to him where the key was, Link rushed over to it, ad then unlocked the cell.  The Kokiri jumped up and down excitedly, He said, Link, there are six more of us, take this round object I stumbled upon.  It was the compass.

The next room seemed to be open, but there were blocks everywhere, but there was an outlined pattern on the ground, with different colors.  Link decided to match the blocks with the colors.  It formed the Triforce.  Two doors opened.  Link did not know which one to choose.  In fact one of them could be a trap.  Suddenly, a person appeared she wore a green cloak, and had a hidden face.  She obviously did not want herself known.  She told him in a whisper, Link, you must go where the music is louderit is your only chance.

Link went to where the music was louder.  In the next room there were two Kokiris, but Link thought it would be too easy just to rescue them at the same time, after all there was a key in the middle of the room.  He went to the key, when a Stalfos dropped down, and the key disappeared.  He killed the Stalfos, and the key reappeared, he took it opened up another cell, and the Kokiri ran out in excitement and said, There are five more of us, find a key in the next room to unlock my brother, please.

Link went to the next room and there was a spider web blocking a treasure chest.  There was a flame in the center of the room.  He lit a bow on fire and shot the web.  The web melted like a candle.  He opened the chest, received the key, and opened up the cell to the little Kokiri.  Thank you, so much!  There are four more of us.

A hole opened in the center of the floor, Link jumped in.  It was very dark, until some lights automatically came on.  It was similar to the last time he had been in the bottom of the depths of the Deku tree.  There were Skultulas everywhere.  After he had killed all of them.  Another three keys popped up, but one was in ice, another behind a web, and the last was underwater.  He shot his fire arrow into the web, and it ricocheted off onto the ice.  Then he dived underwater to get the last one.  Yet there were no Kokiris in this room.

He opened the next door, where there were three Kokiris.  They were the magic ones.  He released all three of them, and one said, The great boss, Mido has died, there is however a way to save him.  You must defeat the boss in the next room.  It is Gohma, she has returned, but this time she has brought along a Satyr-like creature with her. We will summon the goddesses to bring us the Master Key.  They mumbled some words, and the master key appeared in the center.  The Kokiri continued, Shoot Gohma with your arrow, in her eye, the creature will fall off.  Slash the creature with your sword, and she will be beatable.  We must leave right away.  Thank You, and Goodbye. With that they faded away.

The door closed shut behind him, as the one in front of him opened.  Link crept slowly into the door, fearfully of what was awaiting him.  He walked in, and no sooner did his right foot follow his left one in, the door slammed behind him.  He heard a roar, and quavered in fright.  Link crept slowly to the center of the dim lighted room.  When suddenly Gohma, a one eyed spider-like creature dropped down.  Link aimed his arrow toward the creature upon her back.  It had goat legs, and a child like torso.  It's face was churubic, and angel-like.  He shot down the creature, and once it fell onto the cold dirt, he slashed it with his sword.  Now Gohma was beatable, for her power was taken from the creature.  He shot his arrow through her eye, and Gohma became paralyzed.  He slashed her with his sword 5 times.  She awoke, and spit down her eggs.  He had to repeat this process three more times.  She eventually died.  Link, all weary from his battle raced over to what she left behind.  It was a medallion that you had to place on the bottom of the flute.  Once you placed the medallion onto it, you would be able to turn into that creature, after playing the song of transformation.  There also seemed to be an ancient glowing stone lying there, and Mido's dead corpse.  It was the stone of healing.  There were engravings on it.  It read, "The bearer of this stone, has the power to heal, and revive a sick or dead person.  If a person has been dead for less then a week, you will be able to revive them.  The bearer of all seven stones will be able to arise the Goddess Farore, Oracle of Secrets, and keeper of the stones."

Malon said to Link, "Use the stone on Mido, Hurry!"

Link crept towards Mido and placed the stone upon his chest.

Mido awoke in confusion.  Saria explained the whole story to him, and he just went back to sleep.  Saria said, I know we must leave here, but Link can we please stay here for a few more days.  I must know that Mido is okay.

Link though for a moment, and said, Hmmmm, well we do have to save both Eluryh and Hyrule, but I guess we could wait until he wakes up.

Saria said, Thank you so much Link and she kissed him on the cheek.

CHAPTER VII

Kokiri Village was still a mess, so Link, Malon, and Saria fixed up the village during the next week, and restored it back to its original look, also with the help of the Song of Healing.

The next morning, Mido finally woke up.  Saria had to retell the story to him, and nurse him back to health.  After all he was dead, and then asleep for a week.  After they knew Mido was okay, they waved goodbye, and left Kokiri Village.  Saria had tears in her eyes when she was leaving, she just could not bear to leave.  But she did not want to leave Link.  Then Saria realized that Link had not checked the Legacy book before he left.  She said, Link, What about the legacy book?

Navi jumped in and said, Listen, I know a song that will let you refer to the Legacy book.  It is called the Legacys Song.

Link played the Legacys Song, when a voice awoke, and shouted, The one who plays this song, is the one who will bring forth the last goddess, and oracle.  Gaea, Goddess of Life, Oracle of Fates.  In order to do this, the Legendary Link must go forth and bring back the seven stones.  The Stone of Healing; the hospitality of life, The Stone of Fire; the burning sensation to live, the Stone of Regret; the need for sorrow, the Stone of Loss, the passing of heart and soul, Stone of Optimism; the hopes of tomorrow, Stone of Ice; the frostbite of death, and finally the Stone of Time; the barrier of dimensions.  You must bring these stones to Farore.  Your next adventure is in the mountains, where the Gorons live.  You will find the Stone of Fire there.

Saria said, "Oh no the mountains, there are Dondongo's up there, and Tektites."

Link responded, "I know but I must do what I am told, after all I am the one the Legacy book had called upon."

CHAPTER VIII

Link started to race towards the exit, of Kokiri forest, turned and said, Saria, Malon, Are you coming or not?

Saria got up and wiped her tears, and said in a stiff voice Yes, Link, Yes I will follow you on your journey.

Malon got up and responded, Link, I amafraid, I do not know if I can continue, but I feel this protective force, radiating from you.  She paused for a moment and continued, It is like we have the same blood, Yes, and I will join too! I am with you to the end.

Link, Malon, Saria, and Navi waved goodbye to the Kokiris, and turned and left.  Saria did not turn around until their faces became a mere dot.

As Link and the gang were strolling through the Eluryhian field, they saw magma erupting from the mountains.  It was incredibly violent.  They tried to get there as fast as they could, but there were too many Tektites, and Octorocks along the way.  Link stumbled across a wandering Goron, which was odd because Gorons live in the mountains.

Gorons are very round creatures; they have immense power, and can move Heavy rocks.  They bear markings, on their arms, and are famous for there bomb flowers, and bomb making skills.  This particular one seemed to be a child.

Link thought to himself and said, What are you doing down here?

Our mountains have become all fiery, we think Din is upset with us, for we fed a lonely Dondongo our Fire Stone.  After that it kept growing, and growing.  The Stone of Fire, has two powers, it makes a sick creature healthy, and a ghost solid.  The Dondongo started to eat our other rocks, and is now eating the wall that keeps the mountain fire, from destroying our village.  Can you help us? stated the Goron.

Link answered, Well, the Legacy book said for me to head towards the mountains.  This Fire Stone you speak of, what is it?

The Fire Stone was given to Darmuni from the Goddesses.  It was a gift, given to us, and when Darmuni died, we did not know what to do with it, so we fed it to that lonely Dondongo.  Others say this is what Darmuni did, because we lost his stone.  Do you think you can find Darmuni for us?  He should be resting in his grave, said the Goron.

Link said, Yes, he would be a great addition to our team.  After we find him we will stop the Dondongo!

The mountain exploded again, as Link was walking on.  He let Malon ride Epona.  She was so beautiful upon that hoarse.  The sun accenting her rosy cheeks, her red hair, each strand blowing in the coll, field breeze.  It was blowing in time with Eponas mane.

Saria next to her, holding the rough leather strap which hugged Eponas neck.  She still could not believe that she had left Kokiri forest.  All her memories, her memories of playing with Link as a child, remembering the running around the Deku Tree, laughing, and singing, even when she played her first note on her fairy ocarina.  The smells of her surroundings made her tingle, it revived the memories of her and Link cuddling up at night when it was storming.  It gave her the sense of comfort, protection, and relief.  Then she let out a long, and soft sigh.

Link interrupted her good feelings of comfort, and said, Look, Onward, It is Goron Village.

Next to Goron village, was the Goron cemetery.  It was dull, and dark.  It was not very inviting.  In fact if Link did not need Darmuni, he would not go in there.  Plus he had fear that the Poes would come out and attack.  Right in the center, was Darmunis grave.  It was elegant, and smooth, not to mention big.  The only thing that could grip a hold of it, was a tektites or Gohmas web, because it was incredibly smooth, and was ungraspable by anything else.  Because the web had was made of a special silk, which has immense grip on it.  Link took out his flute.  He played the song of transformation and could already start to feel his body, twisting and molding.  Extra legs, popped out from his torso, while his two eyes fused together as one.  His skin became hard, it formed a black armor-like shell.  He was now Gohma.  This new body was very confusing to him.  Eight legs to move, and seeing through only one eye, was very hard.  His sense of depth was confused too.  He did not know exactly how to spin the thread, so he used his instincts.  It shot right out, and hit Saria in the eye.

Saria yelled, Ow, watch where you are shooting that next time.

Link tried to say sorry but all that came out was, Rahhhhhh, He had forgotten he lost his speech.

Saria said, God that form scares me, Lin please transform back as soon as possible.

He shot his web a second time towards the grave.  He aimed it to wrap around the tombstone.  This time it hit, it stuck right to it.  Link, could not figure how to control the string of silk.  So he decided to wrap it around the old way.  He went around the tombstone a few times.  Then he climbed up the farthest wall, and pulled the string with all his might.  The tombstone went flying out.  He crept slowly toward the hole, still in Gohmas body.  He looked down the hole, and it was a long way down, and plenty dark too.  He decided to stay in Gohmas body, and walk down the wall. He took one of his legs, and tried to make a notion to Saria, and Malon to climb on his back.  After a while they eventually realized what he was trying to say.

Saria and Malon on his back, climbed slowly down, the dark, vertical hallway.  Once at the bottom he decided to transform back.

CHAPTER IX

As Link crept slowly towards they casket.  Three Stalfos jumped out at him, Link killed them really fast, due to the fact that they were just skeletons, but they reassembled themselves.  Just then a mysterious woman popped up, out of nowhere.  This mysterious woman wore a green cloak.  Her face was shadowed, in a whisper she said, Link, I am your guide.  Take my hand.  I will show you the way.  For these hallways are dark.  I will show you the way.  You are like the moon, and I am like the sun, ascending into the heavens.  You following the sun, and I leading you, the fourth Goddess awaits, Please Link, Follow me I am your guide.  The Princess is in trouble, and the goddess Gaea is weak.  Gannon has taken the fourth piece of the Triforce.  It is said to be the piece of Love.  He can control whatever he wants, for he has the piece of power.  Once one put those two together.  The controller can control fate.  Link, awaken the Elder Goron, with your Song of Awakening, she disappeared.  Link looked behind him, and there was no sign of her.
Link all confused realized he was in a different room.  He looked around and was very confused.  He could not find Malon, and Saria anywhere.  All Link could here was faint screams of "Link where are you" and "Link, help me I am scared."
Just then a low voice said, "So, Link we meet again."  Link was startled, He turned around, and saw that it was Darmuni, but he was see-through.  It was his ghost.  Darmuni said in a loud, booming voice, "Link, I have been awaiting you.  I hear that my fellow Gorons fed the Ancient Stone of Healing to a lonely Dondongo.  Link, I must help you, but first you must play the Song of Awakening, to lift this curse upon me, that the evil sorceress Kanatapuki placed upon me.  Then you must play the Song of Healing, to break these chains that bind me."
Link took out his flute and played both songs.  As soon as the last one was done, the chains that held Darmuni down broke loose.  Darmuni then stretched out his arms as if they have never been stretched out, in a long time.  Darmuni got up, and shouted,  Free at last! The two warriors, started to walk out of the room, when suddenly, Redead started to fall from the ceiling, and surround them from every door.  The floor started to tremble, while the candles that lay parallel to the wall, burnt out one by one.  All Link and Darmuni could hear were moans, and cries of the lost souls of the Redead.  The trembling stopped.  Link and Darmuni heard the moans grow faint, and took a deep breath and said simultaneously, whew.
The light turned back on, and the Redead were not there.  Link said, Let's get out of here he paused and said, Oh oh, where is Saria and Malon! Then came two loud shrieks, from off afar.
Link all confused, did not know which way to go.  Darmuni said in a calming voice, I think I may know.  Close your eyes, and I will bring you there.
Link was incredibly nervous, and could not stop thinking about Malon, or Saria.  He could not stop thinking ghastly and horrific thoughts.  He just wished they would vanish from his head.  Link felt his feet touch the ground.  He looked around in the room.  Then came the tremble again.  He saw Saria and Malon backed into the corner.  There were Redeads surrounding them.  Malon took Saria's staff, and started to try to keep away the Redeads.  It was not working.  One of them slashed her on the arm.  Malon let out a shriek, and fell to the ground.  Link shouted, Malon. With that he got really furious.  He rushed over to the Redeads, took out his sword, he chopped one of their arms off, and took a swing from his left, and chopped another one's head off.  Then a Redead, jumped on top of him, and his sword went flying.  Darmuni ran over to him to pry it off, but it would not budge.  It just stood on their sucking Link's energy away.  Saria got up and tried to pull it off.  It still would not budge.  Malon eventually recovered, she realized what was happening, and helped the other two pry the Redead off.  It was not moving at all.  The Redead, slipped slowly off of Link's body.  It lay there still and motionless, Link stood there wide-eyed, also motionless.  His skin was pale, and eyes bloodshot.  Suddenly Link fell to the ground.

 CHAPTER X

Link, lying there, lifeless on the cold hard stone.  Saria, falling down in the corner in shock, Malon crossed over Link's body weeping, and Darmuni floating there, with his arms crossed.  All three in despair, Malon started shouting, Link, don't die on me now, Damn you Link, Wake up! She pounded his chest and kept weeping.
Suddenly Saria had an Idea, she said, Malon, what about his stone, His stone of healing.  Does it not wake up a dead person if they have been dead for less then a week?  Hurry up, I saw him put it in his bag.
Malon reached into the bag, and felt something odd, it was a stone. but it was small.  It was a locket.  It was half of a stone locket.  Malon took it out and studied it carefully.  It matched the half of hers that she wore around her neck.  She opened his, and then opened hers.  There was a piece of paper in both, split in half, she placed the two halves together, it read, my beloved child I am your mother.  I hope you realize that if you are reading this, I am not with you.  I am gone, forever.  Please do not look for me, for you will only find trouble.  I miss you so much.  With all my love, I wish you best of luck. Malon shed a tear; it landed right on top of the locket.  The locket suddenly started to glow.  Then the glow faded.
Saria said, did you find it yet?
Malon responded in a weepy voice, no, not yet. She decided to keep this a secret to everyone.  She decided to wait to ask Link, for he was still motionless, but even if he was to be revived she decided to keep it a secret.  She placed the locket gently into his bag, and she found the stone of healing.  She yelled, I found it!
She placed the stone upon his chest, and in excitement, waited.  Nothing happened at all.  Darmuni said in a disappointed voice, fools, you really think the stones will work in the hands of an insignificant person.  The stones will only work, if used by the Royal Family, Goddesses, or the chosen one.
Malon, all depressed started to weep again, when suddenly Link's body started to shake.  His spirit was arising, and slowly climbing out of his body.  Link opened his eyes and said, Whoa, what happened, what is that on the floor?  Am I I
Darmuni interrupted him and said, yes already, you are dead.  We will settle this, once we get the Stone of Fire.  Once we put the Stone of Fire, and the Stone of Healing together, it will make a ghost, or spirit, alive once again.  Do not worry about this body.  Malon, or Saria undress his body, for we will need his clothes.  We will cremate his body, for we need his ashes.
Malon, and Saria argued over which one will undress him, for they both did not want to, but eventually Darmuni interrupted, don't make me choose.
Malon unwillingly, volunteered.  She undressed him, and then packed his clothes into his bag.  Saria then took his body, along with Malon, and they placed it into the fire.  Malon took his ashes and placed it into a jar.  She placed the jar into the bag along with his other belongings.
Darmuni, Link, Saria, and poor Malon who had to carry everything, had to escape, out of the crypt.  Darmuni told Link to focus his power on the two girls, to orb them both outside of the graveyard.  The two ghosts, took all their power, and controlled it onto both Malon and Saria, and they suddenly faded away.  Link said, where did they go?
Darmuni said, hopefully not too far.
Link and Darmuni found there way to the exit, and floated all the way up to the top.  As they neared the sunlight, they heard a scream.  It was a Goron, Darmuni's son.  He was scared to see the two Eluyrhians standing there, for years, and years ago, Eluryhians captured the Gorons and skinned them to make chairs, for their skin was a nice hard leather, that would not break.  Then they would eat the left over meat.  But that was long ago, the Royal Family passed a law, to save the Gorons.  Although Darmuni's son Dracone, was still afraid that Eluryhians, would do that, Link and Darmuni finally reached the top, and saw what was going on.  Darmuni shouted, young Dracone, I order you to stop this nonsense this instance!
Dracone said, father, We thought, that you were dead.
Darmuni said, well I am transparent aren't  I.  Well
Dracone all embarrassed said, well I guess you guys can come back and stay, for a little while.
Link and the gang then all traveled towards the bright light of Goron Village.
